Veranda Area
Seating area is perfect. We went with Smoked Black to add contrast with the grey. Same stone at the front. Handrails to come.
The Planter
We decided to fill the planter with crushed white rocks instead of soil. The plants are in large plastic pots that are easy to water and swap out in the fall. No water/dirt barrier on the inside.
Patio Area
At north end of the patio we added a 'pot' garden. Two landscape timbers and more white rock. Hides the dip in the lawn and again provides drainage. It also gave this area a purpose and squared off the patio.
